My name is Ron Romaner. I’ve been working with food since childhood, making meals while my Mom worked. In 1985 I moved to Israel and joined up with my friend, Marc Silverberg, to help revitalize a part of Jerusalem now known as Nachla’at Shiva by opening a restaurant called “Cheesecake”. In 1994 I returned to the USA and settled in Dallas with my wife and now four children.
Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the value of small batch production. It’s often said that anyone who can read, can cook. If cooking is an art, then baking is a science. It requires a steady hand and an attention to detail. My children will tell you that the secret ingredient in all my baked goods is love. That being said, I fully believe in the importance of quality ingredients. I use King Arthur® Flour, Ghirardelli® cocoa and chocolate chips, pure vanilla, Plugra® butter, organic coconut oils, and whenever possible, locally sourced, organic nuts and other items needed for my work.
Finally, I see my customers as an extension of myself, so I want your feedback and ideas - please share your thoughts and tell your friends!
